‘A Gobble of Turkeys’
I’m told turkeys in flocks are known as a ‘rafter’
But of all the daft names, there isn’t one dafter!
For when turkeys converse, their wattles a-wobble,
It’s clear that they ought to be known as a ‘gobble’.
So, remember that when it comes to Thanksgiving:
Be thankful and hope that your turkey’s forgiving.
