‘Cheeky Birds & Silly Verse’ is an aviary of collective bird nouns that came about when I began making mosaics and fused glass panels depicting groups of birds such as ‘A Scoop of Pelicans,’ ‘A Dictation of Secretary Birds,’ and ‘A Circus of Puffins.’

Seeing this and other mosaics, writer Brian Sibley started jotting down some rhymes that playfully toyed with the bird’s collective names, looks, and habits. 
Sometimes my mosaics prompted Brian’s verses and, every now and then, Brian’s verses inspired my mosaics. The result: Cheeky Birds and Silly Verses for everyone who loves birds and words.
